These are a few shots I took in southern India.
The women expressing joy, while in the mundane, hot chore of laundry. It always seemed to me, the people who had the least material possessions, had such serene, at peace facial expressions.
The hut scene was, I thought, ironic, since they observed the tradition of leaving shoes outside the door.
Gates and temples always express to me symbolism of exploration or discovery, or opportunity. This blue-teal door was at a temple in the Tamil Nadu area.
The priest. They normally do so well; sometimes even air conditioning, relatively better accommodations... so this gentleman was quite a contrast.
